This is the second time I’ve photographed Jim Ayoubi’s incredible show-stopping XC Ford Falcon Hardtop. Most photographers probably aren’t lucky enough to get this close to cars of this calibre once. The 770hp, 408ci, 8/71-blown coupe is truly a work of rolling art and was featured in the November issue of Street Machine.

Anthony Ivanovic’s 1050hp blown 403ci LS-powered Holden VL Calais graced the front cover of Street Commodores a couple months back. Combining the classic aesthetic of the iconic VL turbo with a smooth engine bay full of polished alloy and late-model power, it is a car that never fails to impress – whether it’s the VL turbo fan or the LS lover.

As if Kosta Contis’s choice of paint colour didn’t make this Valiant ute stand out enough already – he had to go and squeeze a 513ci Gen III Viper V10 into the front end of it! Thanks to a full exhaust, though, the car sounds like a real pussycat on the street. I shot the CL ute for Street Machine‘s October issue.

I took a long trip out to the Central West of NSW earlier this year and shot a bunch of cars for Street Machine. It was a great weekend and I got to meet a bunch of great people at the same time.
One of the cars I shot was Clint Kelly’s 6L LS-powered Holden LJ Torana that had previously been featured when it was powered by an immaculate straight-six.

Not only did I get lucky enough to photograph Aaron Fitzpatrick’s Datsun 1600 once, but I was asked to shoot it twice for two different magazines on the same trip down to Canberra earlier this year! I’ve already posted some images from my photo shoot for Street Machine magazine HERE. Now you can see some of the images from my shoot for Perth’s Forged magazine. It’s been on sale for a while now, but you can still find it on newsstands nationwide.
This beast runs a dry-sumped, 800hp FJ20 combo, with tubs and a cage – it’s a full-house race version of his Summernats-winning 1600, with a personality all its own.
