Issue 13 of Heavy Duty Hot Rods is on-sale now and contains four photo shoots by Hosking Industries, including a shoot on Chris Hickman’s incredible, regularly driven Willys coupe, pictured here. We first saw Chris’ coupe at the first annual Autumnfest, a new rod and custom culture show in Taree, NSW Australia. In fact, the second event is coming up shortly, on the weekend of April 28 and 29, 2012. Check it out HERE.
Back to Chris’ Willys: powered by a 6.71-blown 350ci SBC, the beast makes around 500rwhp and looks every bit as menacing with its slammed stance and huge 15x10in rear hoops. The car is full of cool details, like the frenched Caddy tail lights and plenty more you can read about in Heavy Duty Hot Rods. Be sure to pick up a copy at your local.
As always, we’ve got a bunch of FREE desktop wallpaper versions of the six images here and strobist fans can find lighting information on each image’s caption on our Flickr page. Just CLICK HERE or on the thumbnails below to jump.
