Feature Bike: Buster’s Custom Harley Davidson Chopper

12 Nov

Issue 131 of Heavy Duty is no on sale in newsagents nationwide and includes our photo shoot and feature story on Buster’s awesome custom Harley Davidson chopper. You may remember we featured another of Buster’s creations earlier this year: his Zero Engineering Type 5 Iron Man custom (CLICK HERE TO SEE).

This total custom is riddled with insane detail, yet he still gets it out for regular cruising with other chopper hounds. You can read all about it’s creation in the latest issue of Heavy Duty, in newsagents everywhere.

Heavy Duty 180: Brent’s Bagger Harley Davidson in Print

29 Aug

Issue 180 of Heavy Duty magazine goes on sale this week and includes our feature story and photo shoot on Brent’s awesome Harley Davidson bagger. While the bagger crazy is pretty big in the USA, you don’t see many here in Australia as yet, which makes Brent’s bike all the more special. Complete with a tonne of fibreglass work, custom metallic black paint and blue highlights, the bike runs a 26in front rim. Stay tuned for some proper samples next week!

Feature Bike: Evolution’s Custom 1973 Iron Head Sportster

07 Jan

We shot this gorgeous custom 1973 Harley Davidson Iron Head Sportster for a new client, Heavy Duty magazine. You can see the entire feature and accompanying story in issue 126, on-sale now.

Built by Evolution Custom Industries – check out their supercharged WL that we shot in 2012 HERE – the bike features a custom rigid rear end and that striking none-blacker appearance that’s highlighted by all the brass fittings and discoloured stainless exhaust (done that way on purpose, naturally).

Feature Bike: Custom Von Dutch Chopper

22 Aug

Issue 17 of Australia’s Wildest Custom Choppers (aka Wild Aussie Choppers) magazine is on sale now (including a FREE back issue and posterbook!) and features our photo shoot on Mr. X’s custom Von Dutch chopper, pictured below. It’s a crazy machine that’s powered by an angry 103ci Screamin’ Eagle twin and boasts more billet and chrome than most.

We shot the bike and a local Sydney workshop amongst a tonne of other nice bikes in various states of build using our usual three strobe setups, which you can learn more about by visiting our Flickr page. You’ll also find a series of FREE desktop wallpaper images over there! CLICK HERE or on the thumbnails below to hit it.

Feature Bike: Joe Di Palma’s Big Bear Chopper

10 Aug

Issue 17 of Wild Aussie Choppers (AKA World’s Wildest Custom Choppers) is due out real soon and contains two feature bikes shot and written by Hosking Industries, including this awesome Big Bear, owned by Sydneysider Joe Di Palma. We shot it in an incredible abandoned factory in inner Sydney; but that’s a whole other story!

Powered by a 100ci S&S twin, the candy red chopper also features a Baker 6-speed ‘box, Devil’s Candy chrome rims and a 300-wide rear tyre. After a long history of building classic Australian muscle cars, this is Joe’s first bike and the results are excellent. Be sure to read all about it when the magazine comes out.
