Cover Car: Bill Skyrm’s 1969 Valiant VF Pacer

20 Feb

I had the pleasure of photographing Bill Skyrm’s immaculate 1969 Valiant VF Pacer sedan late in 2017 for the cover of a local magazine. It still runs the iconic slant six, backed by a Borg Warner 3-speed manual and makes about 150hp.

Feature Car: Anthony Dooley’s 1985 Holden VK Commodore

15 Feb

My photo shoot on Anthony Dooley’s blown, 408ci VK Holden Commodore appeared in issue 6 of Street Magazine magazine’s LSX Tuner special, which is still on sale now. This was the second time I’ve been lucky enough to shoot this car, with the first appearing about a year ago in another title. It now features new wheels

Feature Car: Stephen Barrie’s Holden LX Torana

05 Feb

I recently photographed Stephen Barrie’s incredibly smooth LX Holden Torana hatch for the January issue of Street Machine. It was the second time I’ve been lucky enough to get this car in front of my lens. Every time I see it, the mirror-finish black paint (the car was a rare factory black option to start with), it just blows my mind.

Feature Car: Steve Santos’ XY Ford Falcon ‘BOSSXY’

02 Feb

I was asked to shoot Steve Santos’ awesome, modern take on the classic XY Ford Falcon for Street Machine magazine and it appeared in the January 2017 issue, which was on sale last month. The car boasts plenty of retrotech features, with the most obvious being the supercharged, quad-cam, injected Boss engine from the late model Falcons. Then there is, of course, those monstrous 22in Simmons FR rims!

Feature Car: Adel Khallouf’s LS3-Powered Nissan S14 200SX Silvia

31 Jan

Featured in issue 6 of Street Machine’s LSX Tuner special edition, Adel Khallouf’s awesome turbocharged LS3-powered Nissan S14 200SX Silvia blew my brain. It’s tough as nails and on top of the Garrett GTX4508R turbo, the 750rwhp beast also features a cage, fuel cell, Plazmaman billet intake and much more.

Feature Car: Lorenzo Capogna’s XA Ford Fairmont

29 Jan

This is the second time I’ve been lucky enough to photograph Lorenzo Capogna’s tough-as XA Ford Fairmont sedan, with the first being for Street Fords a couple of years back. This shoot appeared in the December 2017 issue of Street Machine. You can see the first shoot HERE.
With a stout 393ci Cleveland stroker, C4 and 9in with 4.11:1 gears, it’s a monster of a street car. Lorenzo also builds brutal engines for Harley Davidsons!

Feature Car: Ben Sumbloke’s 1993 Range Rover LSE

15 Jan

I get to shoot some interesting machines doing this kind of work. Ben’s 1993 Range Rover LSE is certainly in the more interesting category when compared with the typical street machines and hot rods I photograph. The Range Rover is powered by a GM LSA and the extensive work was carried out by Les Richmond Automotive (LRA) who left no stone unturned during the build. Read more about it now in the latest issue of Street Machine‘s LSX Tuner special.

Feature Car: Mark Sullivan’s 1965 Ford F100

11 Jan

I had the pleasure of photographing Mark Sullivan’s latest creation for the December 2017 issue of Street Machine. This marked the third vehicle I’ve shot that Mark has built entirely by himself in his home workshop and like the rest, this truck was awesome. Perhaps a little controversial, the Ford is powered by a SBC!

Feature Bike: Paul Bailey’s 1937 Harley Davidson Land Speed Tribute

08 Jan

Paul Bailey has built a lot of bikes, but this one is particularly special as it pays tribute to the Harley Davidson Knucklehead that set a world land speed record in 1937 that stood for 11 years at 136.183mph on Daytona Beach.
This bike uses a 1939 frame with an S&S Knuckle engine powering it. Pretty, ain’t she!? It was featured in issue 155 of Heavy Duty.

Cover Car: Josh Calgaro’s 7sec HSV WK Grange

04 Jan

I was lucky enough to photograph Josh Calgaro’s 7sec HSV WK Grange for a second time, this shoot being for the cover of Street Commodores issue 271. The 7sec twin-turbo monster puts a whole new spin on the term ‘performance luxury’. It also marked my very last photo shoot for the magazine, which closed down one issue later. It was my 202nd issue of the magazine as a contributor.
