Feature Car: James Gatt’s 1964 Chevy Nova

29 Mar

Between an unfortunate workshop accident and life just generally getting in the way, it took two years for me to finally get James Gatt’s superb 1964 Chevrolet Nova in front of my camera and it appeared in the March 2019 issue of Street Machine. Bags, billet and a sexy multi-throttle injection setup, the car is all class.

Feature Cars: United Speed Shop Pickup Trucks

28 Mar

Our photo shoot on the two trucks from United Speed Shop in Newcastle, Australia was featured in the last issue of Street Machine magazine. These two display very different design aesthetics, but both have been built to drive, with United Speed Shop IFS systems, quality suspension and braking components. Not to mention tons of style!

Feature Car: Craig Darcey’s Holden VK Commodore

30 Jun

Our photo shoot and feature story on Craig Darcey’s immaculate, tyre-frying VK Commodore known as TIDYAS, appears in the latest issue of Street Commodores magazine (issue 238) which is on sale now. The stroker Holden V8-powered sedan started life as a burnout car, but today is – as the plates suggest – a super tidy all-round street car. Be sure to read all about the build in issue 238.

Feature Car: Stuart Dunbar’s 1929 Model-A Ford

13 Dec

Issue 19 of Heavy Duty Hot Rods (aka Rat Rods & Hot Rods) features our photo shoot and feature story on Stuart Dunbar’s incredible and unique 1929 Model-A Ford Tourer. Powered by a 1949 250ci Buick straight-8 engine, it’s not your usual Model-A and the deeper you dig, the more bespoke it becomes. The best bit is that Stuart, with the help of great car guys like Dave Hart, built it almost entirely at home.
