I took a nice scenic drive down south past Sydney a few months back to grab some images of Nick Knight’s ass-dragging 1972 Holden HQ Kingswood for Street Machine magazine.
It had taken the best part of a year to actually get the shoot done thanks in part to COVID and also just life in general. But I’m glad we waited, because by the time I got down there, Nick Knight’s 1972 Holden HQ Kingswood had ditched the small-block in favour of a 598ci Dart-based big-block thumper!
Its old-school aesthetic suits the car perfectly, with simple black interior, reverse-cowl scoop and gorgeous Chlorophyll Blue Green metallic paint.
The shoot appeared in the June 2021 issue of Street Machine.
