Cover Car: Simon Kryger's WB Holden

632ci Big-Block Patina Sleeper

Simon Kryger’s WB Tonner was a first for Street Machine. The magazine has never run a car quite like it on the front cover before and may never do so again.

Powered by a nitrous-sniffing 632ci big-block and underpinned by a number of drag-oriented chassis and suspension upgrades, this machine looks like it just got done with 40 years of tradie work… and in many ways it has.

Get up close and you’ll see most of the patina on this thing is legit. Original paint, original steel tray. Look closer though and you see the tray floor is now a digital print of a photo of the original tray. The brown vinyl trim actually hides a pair of Kirkey race seats and matching brown painted roll cage. The reverse-cowl scoop is covered in a beautifully executed vinyl wrap featuring matching rust spots and well-matched pale yellow.

The shoot was featured on the cover of the October 2024 issue of Street Machine.

Feature Car: Anthony's PROWOG Holden Torana

Anthony’s PROWOG Holden Torana. Over the course of 11 years, Sydneysider Anthony Terkalas has built one of the more insane Holden Toranas that I’ve had the pleasure of shooting. Known as PROWOG, the LJ Torana is even now still in the fine tuning process of getting down the track in its fastest possible state – but the specs speak for themselves.

Based around a massive methanol-sucking 540ci big-block and full-chassis, the combo also boasts a huge 118mm Precision turbo. It’s backed by a two-speed TH400 and sheet metal 9in rear. But really, the photos probably do it better justice than me rattling off some tech specs.

My photo shoot on the car was featured in the October issue of Street Machine magazine.

Feature Car: Jeremy 'Jet' Martin's twin-turbo, 5-second, 4000hp 526ci Holden VB Commodore

I had the pleasure of photographing Jeremy ‘Jet’ Martin’s insane twin-turbo, 5-second, 4000hp 526ci Holden VB Commodore for the September issue of Street Machine. This car, currently credited as being Australia’s fastest and quickest Commodore and Jet has also shipped the car to the USA to compete in the No Mercy 9 1/8th mile event where he finished in the Top 8 against some of the fastest cars in the world.
