Feature Car: Ben Fink's 1968 Camaro

582ci BBC-Powered SS Camaro

Ben Fink’s 1968 Camaro is a masterpiece. What makes it even better is that he did a ton of work on the car himself. Boasting a monster 582ci BBC, the Camaro makes a lazy 530rwhp and is backed by a T400 and 9in with 3.7:1 gearing.

Details can be found everywhere, including the incredible interior by Brent Parker, subtle BMW metallic pearl grey paint and braced 9in.

The shoot was featured in the October 2025 issue of Street Machine.

Feature Car: Chris & Cindy Murphy's XW Falcon

427ci Windsor-Powered Monster

Naturally-aspirated street cars don’t come much tougher than Chris & Cindy Murphy’s XW Falcon – known as the MNYPIT. Powered by a stonking 427ci Windsor that makes over 600hp, the ute boasts a killer stance and detail everywhere – including the smoothed tray area, gorgeous trim and super tidy braced 9in diff’ and coil-over rear end.

The shoot appeared in the October 2025 issue of Street Machine.

Feature Car: Paul Johnston's VK Commodore

355ci Holden V8-Powered VKBOSS

VK’s don’t come much more delectable than Paul Johnston’s VK Commodore – known as VKBOSS. My shoot on this jewel-like metallic blue VK was featured in the October 2025 issue of Street Machine magazine.

Amongst a sea of LS-powered machines these days, Paul’s VK stands tall with an iconic 355ci Holden V8 that sits amongst a smooth engine bay like an open treasure chest.

Detailed from top to bottom and front to back, this VK really is a boss.

Cover Car: Clayton Gow's Datsun 1200

6.2L LSA-Powered Datto Ute

Datsuns don’t come much crazier than Clyaton Gow’s Datsun 1200 ute. My shoot graced the cover of the October 2025 issue of Street Machine, which in reality is something that’s almost as crazy as the ute itself… a Datto on the cover of Street Machine!?

Powsered by a stonking 6.2L LSA V8 and backed by a T400, this tiny terror is more like a rocket-powered roller skate than a car. With a narrow 9in and big tubs out back, this cartoonish machine really is wild.

Feature Car: Aaron Apps Ford Falcon

440ci Dart-based Monster XY

With an 800hp 440ci Dart-based Clevor V8 and all the goodies behind it, Aaron Apps Ford Falcon is proudly NOT a GT, despite the classic livery. Those ‘FAKER’ number plates just make the XY all the more desirable, in my mind.

My shoot was featured in the September 2025 issue of Street Machine.

Cover Car: Billet Blown Hemi Monaro

533ci Blown/Injected Hemi Monster

Pro Flo Performance has been on a massive role of late. I think I’ve had the pleasure of photographing some five or more world-beating builds of theirs in just the last 12 months. One of the craziest is this HT Monaro belonging to Martin Pecotich.

Top to bottom, tip to stern, this Monaro is perhaps one of the primary cars to grab the attention of this jaded old brain over the last handful of years. It’s a testament to the vision of both the owner and the creators of the car and if you can find a copy of the June 2025 issue of Street Machine, it’s definitely worth having a read of the whole story.

Feature Car: Marion Breski's Ford Mustang

625rwhp 8/71-Blown 369ci Windsor

There is a handful of workshops scattered around the country that seem to live in rarified air, pumping out machines that seem to consistently rise above the rest of the field. Some critics may sigh when they see yet another feature car bearing the Pro Flo badge, but no one can deny the sheer quality of their output. The fact that they’re also incredibly prolific just makes it all the more incredible.

One of the latest machines from the Pro Flo shop that I’ve been lucky enough to photograph is this 1967 Mustang coupe belonging to Marion Breski.

Powered by a 625rwhp 369ci Dart-based Windsor boasting an 8/71 and injection, this Pony is an incredible mix of classic style and potent modern mumbo. The shoot was featured in the February 2025 issue of Street Machine.

Feature Car: Sam Caruana's Chevrolet Camaro

Whipple-Blown 416ci Dart

Sam Caruana’s 1968 Chevrolet Camaro is an absolute beast as far as street cars go. Making over 1000hp thanks to a Whipple-blown 416ci Dart-based small-block, the car mixes brute force with a killer stance and a ton of classic style.

My photo shoot on the car was featured in the January 2025 issue of Street Machine magazine.

Feature Car: Darryl Penton's Toyota Hilux

Slammed and Blown Toyota-V8 Stunner

I got the chance to photograph Darryl Penton’s blown V8-powered Toyota Hilux minitruck for the 2024 Street Machine Yearbook. This truck has been an ongoing labour of love for Darryl for some time and it is riddled with detail.

From the snake-belly stance provided by the airbags and big billet wheels filling the massaged guards, to the smooth bodywork and swapped front end, the truck looks the business. Check out the smoothed tray area, too.

But step inside the you’ll see a Summernats-ready show interior that’s matched by a smooth and stout blown Toyota V8, proving this machine isn’t just for looks.
